When I first purchased Affinity Photo over a year ago, it was advised that my request to add arrowheads to the line tool would be considered. To cover this option in the mean time, I purchased Serif DrawPlus 8 which did have this option. I now create my photo in Affinity Photo plus, save it and then re-open it in Drawplus to add text and arrows. Now for some reason, in DrawPlus 8, when I click on the text tool, and then on the color wheel, it immediately crashes DrawPlus. This has happened each time I try this, for the past 10 times or so. If arrowheads could be added to Photo Plus, I could care less about DrawPlus crashing. Can anyone advise if this is a possibility, or do I need to go back to Paint Shop Pro, suffering with the terrible Corel customer service???

Well I can't tell if the Affinity product line will ever have arrowheads added to line segments and the like. - But until then I would suggest instead to use some other software which does deal with those. AFAI recall a bunch of diagramming software like Visio, LibreOffice Draw (freeware) and even Powerpoint or Keynote etc. do support such things in the one or other way.

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

Last week I worked with LibreOffice's diagramming tools for the first time, and those were actually pretty good. Nice auto-connect arrows too, with the option for automatic linear or curved arrow paths. And free! When I was done I exported as SVG and imported for some polishing up. Worked fine.

So I second v_kyr's suggestion to look into that.
