How to modify corner.

I combined 2 shapes and try to modify it's corner, but corner tool doesn't work. Can anyone give me a solution?

At the selected point you have two nodes — one from each of the original shapes — on top of each other. Delete the selected node (revealing the other node) and then use the Corner Tool on the revealed node.
