trecho
Using version 1.7.0.145 of Publisher. Created a 30 page document and placed a different 250MB image on each page. It seems like when I placed the first image it asked my if I wanted to link or embed the image and I said link. On all subsequent placements it did not ask and all the images were embedded and the file size grew to 8GB. I then changed all the images to linked and the file size remained the same even after changing to links. The behavior was consistent with the images being linked (showed they had changed after I edited them and allowed me to update with the changes). How do I get the Publisher file size to normal (should be very small for a 30 page document with all linked images)? Tried creating a new document and placing an image. It asks if I want to link but when the placed image is inspected it is "embedded". Changing to linked does not result in the Publisher file size being decreased from the 250MB size of the placed image.
