designer artboards

i know that in Designer you can change a document into an artboard. is it possible to go the other way and change an artboard back to a document?

When you create a new document, you can put a tick in the ‘Create artboard’ checkbox. This is just a quick way of achieving the same result as adding a rectangle which exactly covers the canvas and then choosing the ‘Convert Object to Artboard’ option from the Layer menu: you aren’t converting the document as such, you’re simply adding a special kind of layer. In both cases you can go to the Layer menu and choose ‘Convert Artboard to Object’ to reverse the process.
