Staff MEB Posted October 15, 2018 Staff Share Posted October 15, 2018 Hi ktpaul, Welcome to Affinity Forums I've raised this exact issue some time ago with the dev team and this is performing as it was designed. It's not possible to have the effects applied to the text independently from the frame itself since the effects are applied to the whole layer. You can place a single shape with the pick colour behind the text frame with the layers effects applied to achieve the same result. Using text frame fill color is much more flexible when the text frame's size is varied later on. I put a rectangle shape below the text frame and group them together. It seems work as expected.
