Daddywx
I'm using Affinity on an Ipad pro. Very impressed with the program. Except.... When I try to print to my Canon Pro 100 it gets stuck. The command goes to the printer (seemingly ok), the printer advances the paper. Then nothing. I eventually get a pop up that says to check the printer for errors. The printer is flashing 11 times (paper size error). I assume the printer wants some information from Affinity as to what size paper to use. Affinity gives me nothing to address this. I read another post that talked about Affinity not addressing size and dpi I the same way that Photoshop does. Is that part of the problem? Can anyone tell me hoe to make it work? DM1
Can you print from other apps eg iOS Photos, or is it just affinity apps? Is the Canon Pro 100 AirPrint compatible. I have no problems with my Epson printer. Edit. Seems it is. Check the AirPrint Setup here. https://ij-setup.com/apple-airprint-pixma-pro-100-setup/ Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Daddywx
Supposedly the Canon is airprint compatible. I'll have to try with Photo's to answer your question. Part of my problem is that I need to print in 13 X 19 at 300 dpi. Almost all of my work could can be reworked to the point I need them in Photo's just fine but I can't find a way to get them resized for printing so I didn't try printing from there. I was told by someone else to export the images from Affinity and print them from a printer app. When I try to open a file that has been reworked in Affinity (In the Canon App) is doesn't see them. A lot of my problems are that I know next to nothing about Ipad and I'm having a lot of trouble dealing with files (and Albums?) and much of my problem stems from that. DM1
You can resize the photo within Affinity Photo to whatever size/dpi you like. The screen shots show how. I’d also recommend Printer Pro by Readdle. Well worth the few dollars as it allows all sorts of print settings. The server has its own idea about how to organise photos so these are out of order. The bottom photo is how to find resize menu. The second photo shows the size and dpi settings (on a second Context menu. The other two photos (mountain scene) show the range of print setting options in Printer Pro. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). DM1
And I forget to add, don't use Print from the Affinity Photo Menu (Very Limited). You need to choose Export, Select a format (jpg) and save the file to a location of your choice or send it to the printer from the share menu. The print that exported file.
