Ideagonal
Hello, in Illustrator you can temporary access the Select tool by pressing command, for example if working with cursor text so you can move the object. I think there is not a similar behaviour with AF move tool. As an Illustrator long time user this one of the thins I miss the most, not a big feature but something I repeat many times. I tried to modify the shortcut but doesn't work. Did any of you find any workaround? Thanks! Alejandro Godoy. Staff MEB Posted October 3, 2018 Staff Share Posted October 3, 2018 Hi Ideagonal, Welcome to Affinity Forums If you press V (the shortcut for the Move tool) you can quickly switch to it from any tool. Pressing V again will return to the tool you were previously using. The only exception is text objects where you will have to press ESC first to exit edit mode (otherwise you end up typing a "V") and then V to switch to the Move Tool. Ideagonal
I've just seen another topic explaining how to move the box just hovering over the border. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/17816-using-cmd-key-to-bring-up-move-tool/ Quote Mac mini M1 / macOS Ventura / 8 GB ram / Wacom Intus pen & touch / Affinity suite v1 & v2
