Packaging creation in Designer with Spot color

I am looking on how create a file with spot color (Pantone color) to fill an area at some percentage or with gradient and save in PDF/PDF X4 preserving each color as a separate layer  with own opacity.

Hi SMG,

The below thread has a gif created by another member of staff Gabe showing you how to create a gradient with a Pantone colour.

Your Pantone colour will be retained when you export to PDF.
