Making custom brush drag and not scatter

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to make a custom hair brush and I have an image that looks like this:

Grain_Image.png.b563c2a9d4f030774441f0f76b4a01c1.png

I discovered on accident that it makes an amazing grain texture, which is cool, but how do I configure it so each of those dots will drag out in a line instead of just placing the image over and over again? If it has to be done in code I'm not afraid to do that either, but some help as to how would be great :)

Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo?

These screenshots are from Affinity Photo.

This is your PNG file turned into a Brush, I removed the white background and saved it.

These are the settings I used, no spacing is important and so is the Flow.

The Flow part of the brush in Dynamics is important to get that brushed look

There is a texture there but it has a transparent background so, black on black doesn't show anything o.O
