atrueresistance
Hello all, I have probably a pretty easy question. Is there a way to scale a photo based on two points? I do engraving on wood pieces and start by taking a photo of the piece and then lay out how I want to position items. I would make sure I have something of known measurement in the photo, like a ruler. What is the easiest way to make the document life size using the included ruler? The document needs to be as close to possible on the real life dimensions. In Fusion 360 it is called calibrate. Thanks, Frank
Staff Gabe Posted September 14, 2018 Staff Share Posted September 14, 2018 Hi @atrueresistance, Welcome to the forums. We do not have a similar option. But, what you can do is the following: Create a new document (with artboard) the size of your red scale. Make sure you set the DPI accordingly. Now, make the red ruller fit your document in width. You can then choose de artboard layer and resize it to fit the size of your image Thanks, Gabe.
atrueresistance
Thank you @GabrielM. I made a square the size of the ruler and then sized the photo to make them match up. It turned out pretty well.
