agisaak
I’m desperately looking for an alternative to InDesign so I can break free from Adobe’s subscription model, and I’d hoped this would be it. Unfortunately, lack of support for non-Latin text is a deal breaker for me, as I do lexicographic work and often need to input multiple different languages in multiple different scripts in the same paragraph. Are there any plans to add support for right-to-left languages (e.g. Arabic) and complex scripts (e.g. the various Indic languages)? Musaed
Whenever we ask for RTL and complex script support they keep breaking our hearts with replies like: not planned for any time soon... At the moment and in the foreseeable future, the only serious alternative to inDesign is the lovely open source software Scribus. I'm so glad we have it. Affinity Publisher? Wonderful software but can't be taken seriously without RTL and complex script support. pointery
