Hangman
Is there any way to change a graduated fill within a text frame from horizontal to vertical, can't see an option for that but it could just be me! Dave Harris
I'd recommend using the Fill tool for things like that, and dragging at the angle you want the gradient. You may need to select Frame in the Fill tool's context toolbar, otherwise you'll be editing the fill on the text itself.
Hangman
Hi Dave, That doesn't seem to be working... Basically there is the option to add a graduation to a text frame using the 'Text Frame' menu (see first image) but this only appears to allow for horizontal graduations... Using the fill tool with a text frame isn't actually adding any graduation at all despite allowing me to vary the direction (see second image). Perhaps an angle setting added to the text frame menu would be a useful addition, otherwise you end up having to create a box behind the text frame to achieve this... which seems a little counterintuitive and messy... Dave Harris
I think your screenshot is cropped. When the Fill tool is selected, the first item in the context toolbar should be Context:, followed by two controls that say Fill and Text. You need to change the Text to Frame. Hangman
Hi Dave, Perfect, again hadn't spotted the option to change the 'fill' to 'frame', so all looking great, thanks for that...
