Zeitgeist
Hey there, i just started using AD and the first problem i stumbled into and i still couldn't figure out how to solve is why are new vector shapes and their fillings transparent? every time i create a new shape upon another, their colors a mixing together, as if they are transparent. and that is although layer opacity is at max. thank you for any advice Manuel
Staff MEB Posted March 13, 2015 Staff Share Posted March 13, 2015 Hi Manuel, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) By default they are not transparent. Can you post your file or part if it, so i can check what's going on? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Zeitgeist
Hey, Thanks for your quick reply! This is a dropbox link to the file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7goo3bzbmor26ah/Ichi.afdesign?dl=0 The cat's eyes so far consist of two elipses, whose colours seem to be influencing each other. Staff MEB Posted March 13, 2015 Staff Share Posted March 13, 2015 Hi, They are transparent because their colour opacity is set to 50% in the Colour panel. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
penwiper
Not to step on MEB's toes as a moderator, but I'm going to give a shout-out to their awesome tutorial videos on the homepage. This topic would be directly related to the last video as you scroll down under Quick Tips: "Adjusting Noise and Opacity in Fills." :-D Actually all the videos are pretty awesome.
