toxlab
I recently imported a pdf into Designer. I have been editing some of the text and it crashes repeatedly and fairly soon after I begin moving the text boxes, but not when editing them. I have attached a video of it happening and the crash report if that helps. Is this a bug in AD or is there a known problem with imported PDFs? I can send the offending file if I get a reply from AD tech support. Any help appreciated! Staff Dan C Posted August 30, 2018 Staff Share Posted August 30, 2018 Hi toxlab, Sorry to see this, could you please upload the pdf to the following like so we can take a look into this for you? https://www.dropbox.com/request/vVJXHORw1gWNhW5e8uB0 Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. toxlab
I uploaded the file. When moving them it sometimes happens quickly and sometimes after I have moved a few.
Staff Dan C Posted August 30, 2018 Staff Share Posted August 30, 2018 Unfortunately the file you've uploaded is a .tiff and not .pdf! Could you please try again for me? Staff Dan C Posted September 3, 2018 Staff Share Posted September 3, 2018 No problem, thanks for that. I've managed to replicate this issue on both Mac and Windows and this certainly isn't expected behaviour. I'll log this file with our devs for them to look into, for the meantime, have you tried opening the pdf file rather than embedding it? I understand this is not always ideal but may be a workaround for now. toxlab
I did not open it directly, however, i will try it. This does not happen on all PDFs that I can remember or perhaps it was after the latest update.
