Where is the frame text tool?

Recommended Posts

This is just a simple question, but I've spent too much time searching elsewhere. Where is the frame text tool? In the help file, the icon for it is a square with an upper case T inside. I see the artistic text tool, pen, pencil, vector brush...   No frame text tool. I've selected the layer I want to put text in. I can't find the icon and I can't find a menu choice to insert text.

Hi @DeMar,

Click on the tiny near-invisible grey arrow in the bottom right of the Artistic Text tool.

Alternatively, typing T on the keyboard will toggle between the two text tools.

Hope this helps!

It's in the same group as the Artistic Text Tool

Some tools are in groups. Signified by a little black triangle in the bottom right-hand corner.

Click on the tool and wait a second and the group pops-out

You can also right click which pops it out instantly.
