Deedee2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Share Posted August 25, 2018 I am not able to use this program anymore.. it wont shut down, I have to shut down the PC to make it go away.. it throws up a message about an image loading when there is no image. - S - Posted August 25, 2018 Share Posted August 25, 2018 It's likely due to a file in the 'Temp' folder, which will look something like this:C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0\temp\5b79b1df With Affinity Photo still closed: 1) Open Windows File Explorer, copy & paste the following into the address bar and press Enter: %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\temp\ 2) Then delete the files in that 'Temp' folder Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
toltec Posted August 26, 2018 Share Posted August 26, 2018 What might be causing an issue is that Photo can be set to open previously opened documents If it crashed and the document got corrupted that may be causing the issue. Shut Photo (however you can) press down control (and hold it down) while you launch Photo When this appears The Don't Restore Windows and Documents will stop it loading any problem files. Press Clear That should fix it. To stop it happening again, go to Preferences and see if Reopen document on startup is ticked. If it is, untick it. Quote Windows PCs.
