[Designer] Cut a vector based in the curve of another vector?

Recommended Posts

Hello, Angel Luis,

Select both shapes and do a "Divide" Boolean operation. Delete the part outside the circle. Then with the "Node Tool" modify the line of one of the two parts to remove the separation between them. If these two parts are of a solid color you can do a Boolean operation "Add".

I don't recommend this approach because if the first curve have a complex structure, it breaks that structure. E.G. de circle have a glow fx, if you break the circle, the glow will be divided too.

You could create a circle of the same size as your donut and nest the ellipse to that circle. Then make sure both the donut and the circle have the same position on the canvas, and send the donut to the background. :)

That approach worked perfect!

Thank you to all.
