Hi,

I'm trying to export some artwork as a PNG so that my client can use it on whatever he likes, however when I try to export it as a PNG it seems to keep the white background and I need it to be transparent. My artboard is obviously white, so I'm not sure if it is taking this into account, but if this is the issue, I can't find a way to change it to something else. The white artboard never seems to be an issue when creating PNG's in Adobe Illustrator however - it just ignores it. I also can't move the artwork onto another program as it has some effects on it etc.

I'm sure this is a pretty standard process to do and it's probably me missing something really obvious!

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'd love to be able to send the artwork off as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance,

Becca

When you create your document you can specify Transparent Background as one of the options in the New Document dialog. If you didn't do that, you can specify it later using the Document dialog (Photo) or the File->Document Settings dialog (Designer).
