alsarraf
Sometimes, hovering over an object does not add it to the candidates list. Is there a way to force adding an object to the candidates list ?
Staff MEB Posted February 28, 2015 Staff Share Posted February 28, 2015 Hi eng.iphoner Which version of Affinity Designer are you using the Mac App Store version or the Beta? Also what type of object are you trying to add (a text object, a shape, a path...)? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
alsarraf
Hi eng.iphoner Which version of Affinity Designer are you using the Mac App Store version or the Beta? Also what type of object are you trying to add (a text object, a shape, a path...)? I use the Mac AppStore version. I'm trying to add groups and compounds. I face this problem sometimes, for unknown reasons, not always. Because of that I want to force adding an object to the candidates list
Staff MEB Posted February 28, 2015 Staff Share Posted February 28, 2015 You can's add groups or compound objects as a whole to the snapping candidate list because those are comprised by many objects. You can only snap to single objects (not the whole group), even if they belong to a group or compound object. So if you want to snap/align an object to the top of a group for example, mouse-over just the object that's located at the top of that group. Also, the snapping candidates list only accepts six single items at the same time (to avoid a profusion of snapping lines if more objects were allowed). Hope this helps.
