pinktech Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Given that Affinity is a $20 app, I wish you offered a free trial version. Disable the Save and Export features, plus maybe some of the tools, but one that is otherwise fully functional. The current App Store reviews are mixed. Before plunking down a lot of cash, I would like to see if/how it works with my iPad Air2: is it fast enough, will it play nicely with Sony RAW and Camera+ files, are there other quirks that will drive me nuts, am I going to fall in love, all those things that a few screen shots and some sales pitch can’t really answer. I’ve been hitting the walls with Snapseed and have never been a fan of LR. All reviews point to Affinity but I don’t know anyone who uses it and would let me try it out. Please? Quote
Alfred Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 I don’t see how this would work. My understanding is that App Store apps cannot be time-limited, which means that Serif would have to offer a functionally limited free version with a mechanism for adding functionality through in-app purchases. If that is the case, there’s no way you can find out for free whether any of its quirks will “drive you nuts”.
