MakeTheMostOfLife
I’m really new the pro level photo editing, so I have a lot to learn. Apple Photo brilliance apparently does: Brilliance: Applies region-specific adjustments to brighten dark areas, pull in highlights, and add contrast to reveal hidden detail and make your photo look richer and more vibrant. The adjustment is color neutral (no saturation is applied), but there may be a perceived change in color because brighter images with more contrast appear more vibrant. This is a really great feature, but at the moment I’m editing in Affinity on the iPad and then when I send the finished picture to my iOS I end it editing it again mostly finding the brillance setting really pops the picture. Can anyone help me ?
Polygonius
There are dozens way to this. One method is go to find > tone and select just shadows, lights or mids. Now you can duplicate the seltection or do your adjsutment just here, while its selected. In your case use bright/contrast or shadows/highs or the curve or the saturation, hsl... for this accent. phil146
Look under Select>Tonal Range Here you can choose from Highlights, Midtones, or Shadows to add adjustments
MakeTheMostOfLife
Sorry if this is a really silly question but I can’t find it that way on the iPad. Is that decktop version?
mr.nerdy.mcgee
Hi MakeTheMostofLife and forum respondents, I have the exact same question/dilemma. I’m using Affinity Photo on iPad but can not locate a single tool or number of steps that would allow for the same editing functionality as the Brilliance editor in iOS. Is anyone aware of an equivalent to iOS Brilliance editing in Affinity Photo for iPad? Thanks
