  1. Hey, Thanks for the reply. Ok, that makes sense. It's behaving like it's waiting for something. For the RAW photos to process into the stack I don't think was super long. Not sure the exact time as I left and came back to it later. Maybe about 15-30 mins. My MBP is 32gig Ram The photos were 43 megapixel... so I guess I totally killed the RAM and Swap. On this last attempt with the 250 photos (the first one that did complete merge visible was around 195 photos), I just cancelled it in the end with so long of it seemingly doing nothing. If I had just waited will it eventually allocate the swap it needs for such a large merge visible develop? The project is a 2 hour 250 frame Astro Time-lapse to making star trails.
  2. Camera A7r3 shooting uncompressed RAW New Stack 250 raw into Affinity, takes a bit of time but no problem When done and click Merge Visible, Affinity starts to use CPU power to process but then seems to give up. Currently it's still in the task and using almost zero CPU. It sometimes goes up to 100% and then back down to almost zero. This is the 2nd time like this. First time was the same, and it took hours but eventually it started using CPU again and got the task finished. Why is Affinity not using the CPU to finish the job?
  3. HSL Shift Adjustment has: Hue Shift, Saturation Shift, and Luminosity Shift. Apple Photos Selective Colour has: Hue, Saturation, Luminance and also "Range" I find Range to be exceedingly useful as you can select what range the Hue is shifting. An example is moving the yellow hue to add more yellow/red to grass, trees and bushes. On Affinity it grabs the whole green and shifts it. On Apple Photos I can put the range way down, so it only shifts a small amount of the range and it blends a lovely mix of yellowish red alongside the green rather than replacing the whole green hue Is there already this feature in Affinity Photo? Or if not can it please be added.
  4. ‘I’m not getting this. When I import a raw from iOS photos into AP it doesn’t automatically load the raw develop editor. It just imports it like a jpg to the main edit screen. Am I doing something wrong?
  5. Sorry if this is a really silly question but I can’t find it that way on the iPad. Is that decktop version?
  6. I had all the same problems. Then I updated to 11.2.6 OS update and 24 apps including affinity suddenly needed updates
  7. I’m really new the pro level photo editing, so I have a lot to learn. Apple Photo brilliance apparently does: Brilliance: Applies region-specific adjustments to brighten dark areas, pull in highlights, and add contrast to reveal hidden detail and make your photo look richer and more vibrant. The adjustment is color neutral (no saturation is applied), but there may be a perceived change in color because brighter images with more contrast appear more vibrant. This is a really great feature, but at the moment I’m editing in Affinity on the iPad and then when I send the finished picture to my iOS I end it editing it again mostly finding the brillance setting really pops the picture. Can anyone help me ?
