Polygonius Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Maybe just layer-issu? Maybe a fill-layer? Open the layer (ebenen) tab and make sure, nothing is covering the layer you want. Quote OSX 12.5 / iMac Retina 27" / Radeon Pro 580X / Metall: on! --- WWG1WGA WW!
Staff MEB Posted January 27, 2018 Staff Posted January 27, 2018 Hi Jenso, Welcome to Affinity Forums Are you using a multiple-monitor set up? What settings do you have in Affinity Photo Preferences, Performace section, Display? Metal, OpenGL... ? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

Hi MEB, no multimonitoring, in my preferences I tried all options Metal, open, Software… no change. I can't work, Program never worked. Deleting and new install didn't help. BTW: if I open a jpg in Aff.Designer: same Problem! Quote
devildogwillbur Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Are you running Mac or Hackintosh? maybe its an issue with your graphics Quote
BlackHounds Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 I am having the same issue running on an iMac with Catalina OS, has this been resolved? Quote
Staff MEB Posted July 16, 2020 Staff Posted July 16, 2020 Hi BlackHounds, Welcome to Affinity Forums No, i haven't been able to replicate it. What's you iMac specs/model? What file type are you trying to open (JPG, PNG, a RAW)? Can you attach it here please? I can provide an upload link if you wish to keep the file private - just let me know. If you go to Affinity Photo Preferences, Performance section and switch the Display dropdown from Metal to OpenGL does it work for you (you must untick Enable Metal compute acceleration at the bottom to be able to change the Display dropdown setting.
