Show Layer Mask

Hi,

is there a shortcut or a way to show a layer mask, like the way when i draw the mask in quickmask mode. I need a way to show an already painted mask as an overlay. like the example

I'm not 100% sure this will do what you want but you can Control + Click on the mask thumbnail to make a pixel selection. Then press Q to enter Quick Mask.
