momochan86 Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 I made a GROUP of these squares which I would like to subtract from the white square/background (to create a mask)... but I can't. It seems the only way is to subtract each separate square individually. Is subtracting a group something that isn't possible in AD? Here's a screenshot: It doesn't seem to matter if it's just a group or (like what I'm doing here) a group filled with other groups. Quote
firstdefence Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Ungroup the Group of squares Select them all and convert them to curves Use the Combine option under Operations on the Visible Menu, or Layer Menu: Geometry > Combine Select the rectangle and the Combined squares and choose the Subtract option from the visible menu or Layer Menu: Geometry > Subtract Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more...
