BillR Posted December 6, 2017 Share Posted December 6, 2017 We have been using Affinity Photo in our business for over 2 years and has been great and have been so delighted and recommended it to our photographer friends!! ...but we have seen a performance hit with version 1.6 when opening raw files. The raw image opens much slower and in square sections at a time and every time we make an adjustment in raw it too takes effect with several squares at a time. We are using a 2015 MacPro and it always runs fast with everything except when opening a raw file in Affinity Photo. (note we use Capture One Express for our Sony files and that works fine.) Open a RAW image, go to menu View ▸ Assistant Manager..., change the RAW engine (first dropdown) to Apple (Core Image RAW), close the dialog and reopen the image.
