For no apparent reason when I now go to Affinity’s Photo pane there are no photos to load, I can still download and see images in photos from either the Fuji WiFi or apple card reader, but, now when I go to load the images in Affinity there are non to be seen.

I downloaded some images, opened them in Affinity, edited them, emailed them, down loaded some more, went to open them just the same as before but could no longer see any images, they are still viewable in Photos but cannot be seen from Affinity.

Does anyone have any ideas what could have happened?

I am not entirely sure what you mean by Affinity’s Photo pane, but if it is either the Media > Photos item in the Affinity Photo Open dialog's sidebar or the Media Browser on the Affinity Photo View menu, then check in Apple Photos > Preferences > General to see if the "Use as System Photo Library" button is greyed out. If it is not greyed out, it means your Apple Photos app is not currently using the Photo Library designated as the "System" one, which is the only one other apps can access.

If you have only one Photo Library & the button is not greyed out, just click it to make that library the system one.

Thank you for that, You have solved it.

i don’t know what caused it to change, I was just editing as normal and I definitely didn’t change any setting.
