Can any body tell me if exiftool.exe is part of Affinity Photo or is it a virus program that has entered my computer.I have searched online and they give me conflicting reports.

ExifTool is also part of AP and resides on Win systems AFAI recall usually in "c:\Program Files\Affinity\Affinity Photo\Resources\exiftool.exe". - Further on Win, ExifTool usually also copies itself to the Temp directory of the logged in user. There, a folder is created, which begins with "par-" and ends a letter-number combination. In this folder there is then a subfolder "cache-exiftool-10.40" (the number is indicating the ExifTool version used).

However, since Viruses can also attack and place themself into EXE-files, when in doubt and for security reasons, check the "exiftool.exe" file with Windows Defender or another Antivirus checker so you know hopefully for sure!
