nickyc Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Hey there, I've tried the software for a bit but wanted to know if there is something like an export for after effects. I love the program but I can't see an .AI export or whatever that can get the vectors to after effects. If someone knows something I would like to hear:D Nick
Staff MEB Posted February 10, 2015 Staff Posted February 10, 2015 Hi Nick, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) I don't know which formats After Effects support, but Affinity is able to export your files as PDF, PSD, SVG and EPS. Hope this helps. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
nickyc Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Hey there. Since this program I like working with vectors, I hated illustrator for its workflow so I stayed far away from it. This program is just easy to use and does what you want. But the after effects problem. Sometimes I want a layered vector piece inside after fx for animation and that is only supported through illustrator ai format. I don't know another file format that supports layered vectors. I don't want pixel data. If I import an eps in after fx it is all in one layer. workaround is: Opening the eps in illustrator and save it as an .AI but that is fcuz not what I want workflow wise. Hopefully you could in the future incorporate an .ai export, I think many people will love that eventually when they realize how awesome this program is! Cheers, Nick
