Jac Mat
When I do a curve, it appears on a layer. When we make a selection from this curve, the layer disappears. How could I save my curves for future utilization in a palette? Thank you, Jac Mat.

Staff MEB Posted September 28, 2017 Staff Share Posted September 28, 2017 Hi Jac Mat, Welcome to Affinity Forums I'm assuming you are using Affinity Photo. Unlike Photoshop, Affinity Photo doesn't have a Paths panel so you have to duplicate the path first as toltec suggested and place them all inside a layer or group for later reuse. Thank you Toltec, I copied the layer and yes I keep the pen tool work. 5 hours ago, MEB said: Hi Jac Mat, Welcome to Affinity Forums I'm assuming you are using Affinity Photo. Good hint, thank you. During you are there, is a shortcut to put, by default, the black and white colour in the colour panel? 7 hours ago, toltec said: Just press Ctrl + J to duplicate the curve layer first. Staff MEB Posted September 28, 2017 Staff Share Posted September 28, 2017 Hi Jac Mat, It's not set by default but you can choose whatever combination you want for that. Go to Affinity Photo Preferences, Keyboards Shortcuts section, set the first dropdow to Photo and the second to Miscellaneous - the 5th entry on the list below is Set Fill to Black and White. Jac Mat
The zoom tool shortcut is often problematic. Now with the pen tool, it zooms in, but unable to zoom out. I press space bar and Cmd and Alt like I always do and it stays stuck or I don't see the plus and minus sign. If I press first the Alt or Cmd before the Spacebar, it doesn't work. It seems to be done like that.
toltec
If you press Ctrl plus + it zooms in, Ctrl plus - zooms out. Try Ctrl plus the mouse wheel. Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.
