copy/paste from different documents not keeping size

Recommended Posts

Hello I just noticed that I copy something from document A to B and this something change size when I paste it.

Both documents are of the same size.

Am I doing something wrong? Some option that I need to change or something?

Thanks

Hi nitro912gr,

Your two documents must be at the same resolution (for example 300 dpi) so that the object pasted on document B is the same size as on document A. Is that the case?

Thanks yes! That was it, for some reason the old one was in 400dpi while I was working in the new one at the standard 300dpi.

Thank you!

  • 7 months later...

I'm half a year late but thanks for this clarification. I was having issues with this. Now i can solve it. Any way is a weird behavior, if both documents are set to work on millimeters, it should preserve size, not resolution, at least on designer (photo is another story) so we can reuse items between different resolution documents. Thanks anyway.
