rui_mac
I don't know if there is a GUI rule for this but I always assumed that the icon for new elements (in the Layer Pallete or in the Guides Manager, for example) should be a dog-eared sheet and that the folder icon was only for grouping/organizing items. But Affinity Designer uses a folder icon for creating new elements. Is this intentional?
Staff TonyB Posted July 25, 2014 Staff Share Posted July 25, 2014 The folder icon should only be used for grouping/collections but a new layer is a grouping construct so it's fine. If we are using it for other items then it's a mistake.
rui_mac
Yes, it didn't bothered me much with the layers panel. But it is being used in the Guides Manager also.
