CA Filter not available in LAB color mode?

Recommended Posts

Normally work in LAB, a la Dan Margulis, but the Chromatic Aberration filter is "grayed out" in the dropdown, and only seems to be available when the color format is RGB ...

Is this correct; and if so, is there a workaround?

Thanks!

cheers  :D:)

great to see others enjoying his work as well

I covered some aspects of LAB over here as well

AP now also has a decent apply image filter

which is still somewhat in a raw state....but works

did not mean to hijack your thread , sorry  ;)

PS: if you convert to ProPhoto and make your correction in there, I think you might not notice any difference although technically there might be a slight loss

(if I remember correctly that was also what Dan said, he even said 8bit LAB is useful :) )
