I have a rectangle on top of a larger rectangle and when I have both selected and press the subtract boolean icon, the  larger disappears leaving the smaller.

My goal is to cut a notch out of the bigger rectangle with the smaller one.

Can someone point me in the right...procedural direction?

thank you!

Hi VectorCat,

The rule is: The top object will subtract from the bottom object.

If this isn't happening, could you post a simple example file here and I can take a look, please? :)

Thanks,

Matt

Yeah, I can throw that up later on..I think it was a temporary glitch; I came back later and it worked...no clue why it didn't work, but later did.

my instinct was right having the "cutting" shape be on top, tho...
