rad Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 In Affinity Designer, Adding a text object to a newly created document creates the text render on the left side. Add a background (white or off-white, doesn't matter), and you get the text render on the right side. Not sure if this is a bug or if it can be changed with a setting. text-bug.afdesign Quote
Staff MEB Posted February 16, 2017 Staff Posted February 16, 2017 Hi rad, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) This is because you set the colour opacity of the text objects to 70% (headline) and 87% (body). Select it and check the Colour panel on bottom - the Opacity slider (if you are seeing Noise there click on the small circle below the label to change to Opacity). rad Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 I added a no-opacity and a white-background preview to the first post. Take a look. Quote
Staff MEB Posted February 16, 2017 Staff Posted February 16, 2017 Thanks. Yes, seems there's something wrong with text rendering here. I've passed this to the dev team. Issue logged. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
carl123 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 It seems to be related to the blend gamma setting of the text Setting the blend gamma to 2.2 seems to cure it rad 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
