I have been trying to cut the center line of the letter 'A' out for weeks now.

Any idea on how to simply remove it so it is no longer there? 

 

Otherwise Im just going type V on another layer and then flip it.....

First you will need to convert to curves the A.  Then draw a triangle that covers the entire center bar but does not cover any of the diagonals.  Then do a subtract.

 

Or, flip the V.  :D
