trksnoos Posted January 9, 2017 Share Posted January 9, 2017 hi I would like to work on one window and see the change on another window containing my embedded documents. but i can t find the function edit embedded document in floating mode. is it ass well possible to have a floating view in non floating interface mode? Staff MEB Posted January 9, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 9, 2017 Hi trksnoos, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) If the context toolbar is not appearing, go to menu View and tick Show Context Toolbar. You can then click the Edit Document button in the context toolbar with an embedded document layer selected to edit it in a new document tab. Alternatively you can also double-click the embedded document directly on the canvas to edit it in a new document tab. To place/embed a document just use the Place Image Tool (in Affinity Designer) or go to menu File ▸ Place... in both Designer and Photo (no matter if you are in "floating mode" or not).
