Guest
Hi there, Is there a way to make Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer use the same Style Category? If I add new styles (e.g. gradients) in Affinity Photo, I would like be able to use them in Affinity Designer as well. Is the only way to do it to use "Export Styles Category" on one end and "Import Styles Category" manually on the other end, each time I have modified my category? Thank you. Madame
Hi, I'm not sure this is the right way.. but it's very easy to accomplish this way. When you have created a style in Photo, go File>edit in Affinity Designer. Then you can "Add style from selection" Quote - Affinity Photo 2.3.0 - Affinity Designer 2.3.0 -Affinity Publisher 2.3.0 MacBook Pro 16 GB MacOS Sonoma 14.1.
Guest
Hi, Well it's not what I am looking for, because you have to do it manually for each style you would like to use. But thank you anyway for this interesting input.
Staff Lee D Posted January 5, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 5, 2017 Hi miss_c, Welcome to the forum. The way you suggested is correct, the apps don't use a single file the source. So once you have created your styles, hopefully in a new category you can export them by clicking on the small lines icon and selecting Export Styles Category. In the other app view the Styles tab and click the same icon but select Import Styles Category, select the file you export to and it will be added to the category dropdown.
