Version 1.5 upgrade

Exactly where is the link to the upgrade to version 1.5? I keep looking carefully at the listing on the App Store and see nothing referring to the upgrade for existing customers. If it is there it certainly is well hidden and I'm sure that many are looking for it. Thanks

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

The update should appear in the Updates section in the App Store app. If it's not listed there can you please go to the Purchased section in the App Store app and check what says in the button in front of Affinity Photo?

You can also try to sign-out and sign-in again (with the Apple ID used to purchase the application), and check if the update there.

I also have checked several times and no update option. Followed all your instructions. The only button is "Open" and the opened version is still 1.4

Hi dand0919,

Do the following:

 

1. Open the Terminal app. Copy and paste the following command and press Enter:

open $TMPDIR/../C

This will open a Finder window. 

 

2. Drag the com.apple.appstore folder that's inside there to the Trash.

This folder is just a cache. It will be recreated as soon as you run the Mac Store app again.

 

3. Run the Mac Store app and check if the update becomes available. Reboot your system if there's still no update.

 

 

If you aren't still able to update it after the cache reset, drag Affinity Photo from the Applications folder to the Trash and empty it, then reinstall it again from the Mac App Store.
