Tomenas
Thanks, for Designer on windows got it and waiting for photo (although I would prefer Linux versions). I have question About future updates. How we will get updates, I see no option to check for updates in program? And no version numbers on web, just when I downloading through my account. Staff Patrick Connor Posted November 26, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 26, 2016 Tomenas, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. I hope you do not mind that I moved your interesting question away from the original thread (Affinity Designer for Windows has launched). Currently there is only one Windows version of Designer 1.5.0.36, but when 1.5.1.xy and later 1.5.2.xy become available, this will be the process. [For the Windows version] When you start the program, then if a new version/patch is found to be available (if you are internet connected) you will see a notification offering Download and skip. This patch will be offered each time you start thereafter until it is installed. There isn't a manual check within the program [yet]. If you choose the 'download' option (when offered it in the program) you will in fact be taken to an Affinity account/store page. That page will offer the new version as a download, which (like the original purchase) is a full installation and not an incremental patch. On that Affinity Store page we plan to leave links to earlier Windows versions. We may have release notes too. This is a bit theoretical at the moments, and the exact details may change when it is implemented. All of this will be true of the Windows release of Affinity Photo once it is for sale and being updated. adirusf 1 Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program!
