crispalomino Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 I am on Mac Affinity Designer 1.5.3. I have a vector image that I need to double the size. I cannot find how to resize images. If I do searches, it gives me information for Photo, but I need to work with resizing images, both vector and bitmap in Designer. In addition, I can find no way to invert and image so that black switches with white. Please help. Thank you, Cris
Staff MEB Posted November 21, 2016 Staff Posted November 21, 2016 Hi crispalomino, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You can scale up/down images/objects/layers/groups dragging the corner handle of the bounding box on canvas with the image/object/layer/group selected. You can also do it precisely using the Transform panel entering the values you want in the width/height input fields. To invert an image in Designer, add an Invert Adjustment to it (menu Layer ▸ New Adjustment ▸ Invert). crispalomino 1 A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
crispalomino Posted November 21, 2016 Author Posted November 21, 2016 Thanks, MEB. So I would need to increase the size of the document and then manually scale to this new size? There is no resize function for the document that automatically scales all within the document as well?
Staff MEB Posted November 21, 2016 Staff Posted November 21, 2016 Hi crispalomino, Yes, there is. If you want to scale everything - document and content - go to menu File ▸ Document Setup..., change the dimensions of the document as desired, make sure Rescale in the Object will section is selected (above the anchor section) and press OK. crispalomino Posted November 21, 2016 Author Posted November 21, 2016 Hi, MEB, I had found that just now and was coming in to say so. Thank you.
Farp Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Just found a GREAT link: https://affinityrevolution.com/layer-mistakes-in-affinity-photo-how-to-fix-them/ There is an lock in the layer, just unlock and you will be able to resize. Hope this helps.
