Affinity Designer License for Windows

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I'd like to know for how long I can keep a license of Affinity without using it after buying the software. The thing is that I want to take advantage of this offer with 20% discount and buy a license but I'll get a new computer soon, so I don't know if I'll be able to use the same license in the new computer or if I can save this license for a few months until I get a new laptop.

Thanks in advance.

Hi pixelvoodoo,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
You can install it on more than one PC as long as you are the only one using the software for commercial purposes.

From our EULA:

The License granted to you is limited, non-transferable and non-exclusive. Except to the extent any rights cannot be excluded by law, you are permitted:

  1. if you are a private individual, to download, install, use and run for personal use, one (1) copy of the Serif Software directly on each computer running Microsoft Windows (“Windows Computer”) that you personally own or control. Commercial use is permitted but only use by you and not by any other users of any Windows Computers that you own or control. For example, other members of your household that use your Windows Computers may make personal use of the Serif Software whereas, if anyone other than yourself needs to make commercial use of the Serif Software, the other user will need to make a separate purchase.

Hi, I would like to ask a further question regarding the license for Windows version of Affinity Designer.

I currently have a trial version of AD, but will buy the license (especially since it's discounted now).

My question is this, can I install the program on one PC, uninstall it and install it on another PC and still be able to use it for commercial purposes? This is the case, I'm currently saving for a new laptop so I'm using my wife's PC, I will install the program on that PC, but will uninstall it when I buy the new laptop so I can install it there. Only I will use the program, so I was wondering if I retain the right to use to program for commercial purposes like this.

Sorry for being so specific, but I really need to know this before making the purchase.

Thanks,

UnibrowDuck
