Fchen
Hi, I have a little problem with export of a pixel icon, in Affinity Designer the icon will look like this: http://imgur.com/a/XkAim With pixel view mode: http://imgur.com/a/g8hCg And as export: http://imgur.com/a/PPtTX Is there anything I can do, to prevent this kind of ugliness? br Fchen
Staff MEB Posted October 10, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 10, 2016 Hi @Fchen, Welcome to Affinity Forums: What's the size of the icon (in Designer) and the size you are exporting it? Ideally they should have the same size. Can you upload the file using this link so i can take a look? All files will be deleted after being inspected. Thanks. Fchen
Sorry for the late response, I uploaded the file. The exported file is 380x330px and the imported axe is 16x16px big, it was stretched to around 250x250px and provided with nice 3D effects. Staff MEB Posted October 14, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 14, 2016 Hi Fchen, Thanks for the file. The issue is the dpi of the icon Image (24dpi) differs from the dpi of the document (400dpi). You have to rasterise the iron_axe layer, right-clicking on it and selecting Rasterise... to render (rasterise it) it at the same dpi as the Document settings. If you then export the image it should match what you see on screen (at 100% zoom level). To get an accurate preview of what's exported from Designer, set you zoom level to 100%.
