SinovenatoR
Hello everyone, I use Windows beta version of Affinity Designer and I could not find a list of extensions supported by the software or even how to add them. By extensions I mean something like custom brushes, custom shapes for the shape tool and so on. My greetings... Staff MEB Posted August 8, 2016 Staff Share Posted August 8, 2016 Hi SinovenatoR, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) There's no way to add custom shapes to the Shapes tool. This is a parametric tool. The properties/attributes of the shapes (number of points on a star or angles used on a pie for example) must be coded in the app and made available in the context toolbar. Brushes is another thing. You can find a list of them and other resources here. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
SinovenatoR
Thanks for your reply, I hope that someday custom shapes can be added, it would be awesome :) Quote I LOVE programming and vector drawing. :)
Staff MEB Posted August 8, 2016 Staff Share Posted August 8, 2016 You can draw your own and add them to the Assets panel (menu View ▸ Studio ▸ Assets) for reuse, or simply download them from the internet (from sites like freepik) and import into Affinity apps. They are not parametric as the ones available from the Shape Tools but still useful nonetheless.
