I'm having a very hard time disabling the pink boundary lines around the layers (even the ones that are not selected). It has made it impossible for me to work. I never saw them before, can someone help getting rid of them?

Please check attachment for screenshot.

Have you got 'show snapping candidates' turned on? Click on the magnet icon in the context toolbar...

Hi Allan, I had the same problem. I your suggestion worked. Thank you for that.

But... as for me, the pink lines did apeare kind of "suddenly". Any thoughts how this could be? I've worked for a long time with this button checked and those pink lines never appeared.

Regards,

Yvonne

There is a setting for the number of recently chosen objects to show as snapping candidates. This has the effect of making things 'suddenly' appear with the pink lines.
