DonSatchell Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Hi, I've reviewed the topic in other posts and tried the various solutions that were provided, I may have missed some, so I've listed what I did find.. As additional information, this is a new install, on a Windows 10 system running virtual machines. redownloaded the setup file from different browsers (chrome and edge). Checked that both signature files register as 'OK' Attempted to run as 'admin' Conducted the Windows compatibility troubleshooter The issue appears very similar to what others have posted. I have attached the two setup log files. Please let me know what else I should be trying. Regards, Don Setup.log SetupUI.log Quote
mopperle Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Is "Admin" your normal user account? Otherwise I would install it with the normal user account. 1 hour ago, DonSatchell said: on a Windows 10 system running virtual machines. Maybe this is part of the problem. The error in your setupui.log is a generic Windows system error. Maybe reading this article helps: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-server/application-management/msi-installation-error-1603 Quote Regards, Otto Affinity Suite v2.6.x - Windows 11 Pro
DonSatchell Posted March 19 Author Posted March 19 Hi thank you for the note. Unfortunately, I checked the App/Features and there is no evidence of the program already being installed. Quote
Staff stokerg Posted April 23 Staff Posted April 23 Hi @DonSatchell, Are you still having issues with the install? From the Error log, it appears you had some pending filename rename operations related to an MS Edge update. In theory doing a restart of the PC should of resolved those. Quote
