Hangman Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Hi @Roronoya, Can you confirm whether you are exporting to PDF or a different file format? If to PDF could you try the following with a new blank document and let us know whether the document still crashes on export... Add a text frame using the Frame Text tool Type a character or word into the text frame With the text frame selected, change the Spelling language from Unknown to None in the Character panel Export the file Quote Affinity Designer 2.6.3 | Affinity Photo 2.6.3 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.3 MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, Magic Mouse HP ENVY x360, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, Windows 10 Home, Logitech Mouse

When I follow your instructions, it works, it can export. Is there any preset I can do to prevent the crash in my other files? And BTW the crash happens right after I click the export button under file menu, it crash before getting into the export setting page. Quote
Hangman Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Hi @Roronoya, This bug has been fixed in the 2.6.2 Beta version so one option would be to join the Beta program and download the 2.6.2 Beta. If that's not an option, the only workaround is to ensure a Frame Text, text frame is included in the document and follow the steps in the previous post. The Text frame can be positioned off-canvas... If you have lots of Frame Text, then select one, use Select → Select Object → Frame Text to select them all and then change the Spelling Language to None (or any language other than Unknown)... If you have only Artistic Text or no text at all, then adding a single Frame Text text frame and again changing the Spelling Language to None should be all that is required...
