PaulRRuss Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Hi! Ive created some textured brushes for designer, which work fine. The issue is colour. I find if I export the brushes at mid grey- they receive colour in Designer, but HSL Light is not correct- but exactly what colour should I use to export? Quote
GarryP Posted March 16 Posted March 16 I’m not entirely sure that I understand your situation, or your requirements, or what the problem that you are having is. Can you give us more details about what you have got, what you are trying to do with it, and why the result was not what you expected? Full-screen (whole application UI) screenshots and/or an example document would also be useful. It would also be handy if you can tell us how you made the brushes. Quote
PaulRRuss Posted March 16 Author Posted March 16 I'm making some endless Vector pen brushes. I make these in Designer I grey them out I export I create new brush thus Brush goes blue, But only as white as original grey White exports only stay white And black stay black If I pick an existing endless brush from Affinity- this is not the behaviour How -please- to get correct colouring? Alfred Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Don’t create a ‘Textured Image Brush’. That’s intended to preserve the original colours in the brush image, which is a uniform grey in your example. If you create a ‘Textured Intensity Brush’, you should find that it functions as an opacity map. Your brush strokes will take on the currently selected colour, varying in opacity according to the grey levels in the brush image, but you obviously won’t see any benefit from this if your brush image uses the same shade of ‘mid grey’ throughout.
