Often, though not always, Photo will hang then crash when I quit at the end of a session.

My process when I finish a session is to Command-S to save the document, allow it time to save (sometimes the progress bar appears, sometimes not such as when I've recently saved), followed by Command-Q to quit Photo. At this point the programme hangs for some time (less than one minute) then quits with a dialogue box stating it quit unexpectedly providing a crash report that can be forwarded to apple (see attached).

It doesn't seem to matter how large the document is as the crash occurs after working on new documents or very large existing documents.

Hi Scotty77,

Thank you for providing a copy of the crash report, whilst I am looking into the report please could you confirm if this crash also occurs when quitting the app via Affinity Photo 2 > Quit from the menu along the top of the app?

Thanks

Hey @Callum,

I hadn't tested quitting via the menu in 2.6.0 and I've now returned to using 2.5.7 because a number of bugs were hindering my workflow.

I have installed the 2.6.2 Beta however I have not been using it to work on documents that require editing and saving (I have only been testing tool and performance functions) so I'm uncertain if the bug persists.

Sorry that wasn't more helpful!
