Branlid Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Where has it gone??? How do i now change the color of a line or shape? Quote
NotMyFault Posted March 13 Posted March 13 In the color panel, not in pen tool. Has always been there and waiting for you to get noticed. Branlid Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 No it has never been there for certain tools, it was always at the top with a separate color palette.. Quote
NotMyFault Posted March 13 Posted March 13 For pen tool which is active in your screenshot, never in V2. only for adjustment or filter layers (fill filter, gradient map, layer fx etc) Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. NotMyFault Posted March 13 Posted March 13 The last time it was seen for pen tool was 1.10.7 about autumn 2022. For 2,5 years with V2 it is no longer part of pen tool. it would help if you advise about having just recently moved from V1 to V2. Branlid Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 Well thats really strange because until a week ago i always had to use the pen tools color palette to change any line color. In V2. There was no way that i could change the color of a line using the regular palette. Quote
NotMyFault Posted March 13 Posted March 13 From an older post it seems that you ran into an unfixed issue. Some tools like gradient map have their own color Ui, independent from color panel. It can happen when you switch layers that the tools UI stays open (this is a bug) and even interacts to change the curve color (this is another bug). I doubt that this function was intended. Actually Affinity asked users to provide reproducible recipes for „frozen UI“ and your cases seems a good example. see Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. NotMyFault Posted March 13 Posted March 13 It seems Affinity did extensive changes in v2.6 (vs 2.5.7) to pen and pencil tool UI and removed its seperate color panel. So I was wrong that it changed in V2.0 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. Branlid Posted March 15 Author Posted March 15 Ok, i always found it strange that lines and curves had a separate coor palette. Quote
